Ford’s first electric SUV is once again available in the American market. The Ford Mustang Mach-e 2023 version offers interesting new features that significantly reduce its sale price.

The Ford Mustang Mach-e has received the highest percentage of deliveries out of the American manufacturer’s three electric models, despite the controversy the Ford F-150 Lightning has generated for being the electric version of a model that has been a best-seller in the United States for years.
With the entry of new and potent competitors, it was essential to update the electric SUV on a worldwide scale to avoid falling behind. The 2023 version offers several intriguing upgrades, but the adjustments have little impact on the design. The new things are hidden from view.
Offer for Battery
The Ford Mustang Mach-e returns with charged batteries at the Mexico facility after a few months of little activity. A new battery with LFP chemistry that powers the whole lower range of the family, the standard autonomy variants, may be found hidden behind its well-known form.
Ford has nonetheless been able to gain additional autonomy. While the eAWD unit increases its official range to 360 kilometers, the Mach-e RWD now delivers 402 kilometers. The EPA certification cycle was used to complete both registrations.
A record is not the only thing that gets better with the LFP battery. With minor changes to the powertrain, Ford engineers were able to improve performance. As a result, the Mach-e AWD now produces 34 kW (45 hp) more, bringing its output to 232 kW (311 horsepower).
Last but not least, the speed has also accelerated due to the charging power. 100% of the battery capacity can be recovered at a faster rate under residential loads while using alternating current (Ford has not provided the statistics).
Old vs New versions
In comparison to earlier versions, it can now charge the battery from 10% to 80% of its capacity in just 33 minutes while using direct current.
The lithium-ion battery that was previously present will remain in the most potent variants, such as the strong Ford Mustang Mach-e GT. It is anticipated that those from Michigan will continue to offer the same specs as they have so far as they haven’t disclosed any information regarding these versions.
In terms of cost, the entry-level model in the family will start at $45,995, which is only $1,200 less than the entry-level Tesla Model Y. Ford has dramatically lowered prices in Europe as a result of the battery upgrade, making the access model $21,299 less expensive.
Ford’s trading strategy
Ford’s trading strategy concerning the Ford Mustang Mach-e is also evolving. Another novelty of the 2023 time frame will be the introduction of the Blue Cruise program, which aims to make electric technology more accessible to the general population.
Ford’s most cutting-edge driver assistance package will be offered as standard equipment for a limited time, allowing new buyers to test it out for 90 days. Customers with a Mach-E will also be able to purchase this novelty.
If customers are pleased, they may renew the subscription for an additional three years after the first period.
