Tesla offers three new shades (without paint) for the Cybertruck.
At Tesla, they know that the Cybertruck’s exterior may be somewhat ‘bland’. For this reason, they now offer three new colours to decorate their titanic image.
Who is bored with the steel colour? The Tesla Cybertruck has generated a lot of hype over the past few years. Many, in fact, even came to doubt its commercial viability, mainly because of its very particular design and the difficulty of producing such a car.
However, once again, Elon Musk demonstrated the brand’s potential, and at the end of 2023, they began production and deliveries to the first customers. Now, two months later, its production is already increasing exponentially.
However, one of the buts that this electric pick-up still maintains is its decoration. One of its most striking points is that its body is made of stainless steel, which gives it that characteristic point. However, this is also one of its condemnations since it is not a material that can be customized, so all Cybertrucks have the same image.
New decorations for the Tesla Cybertruck
In stores or businesses not linked to the Elon Musk brand, they have already offered the possibility of decorating the Cybertruck using exterior vinyl, thus changing its image completely. Tesla did not take long to see business in this regard and added the same possibility with two colours just a few weeks ago: Satin Stealth Black (black) and Satin Ceramic White (white). They have announced an improvement in their colour offering with three new possibilities.
There are now five decoration options for the Tesla Cybertruck (six if you count its own stainless steel body). This announcement has come, as it could not be otherwise, through Elon Musk’s social network, X (formerly Twitter). The publication includes links to the brand’s online store and the three images with their respective colours.
The three new colours are Slip Gray (grey), Satin Rose Gold (rose gold) and Satin Abyss Blue (blue). The new grey colour costs an extra $6,000, the same amount as the two existing colours in the catalogue until then. In the case of pink or blue gold, this figure rises to $6,500, making the two most expensive.
According to the website, these vinyls are twice as thick as an average vinyl, thus further protecting the body of the electric car and having the ability to self-repair. It is also more environmentally friendly than traditional vinyl and covers all exterior surfaces of the Cybertruck.
Remember that the Tesla Cybertruck is only available now for the North American market. This model has a starting price of $76,390, while the most capable variant raises this figure to $96,390. Later (in 2025), an access version will arrive for $57,390. As we have already mentioned, if you want to decorate the body of the electric pick-up to these prices, you would have to add the 6,000 or 6,500 dollars it costs to add some of these colours.
